I’m not asking you to subscribe to my substack + An invitation

Hello friends and happy summer! We don’t talk this way nearly often enough and to be more precise you and I have never talked this way as this is the first time I am writing in our newsletter. So, hi!!!

For the forgetful or uninitiated: I'm Adrienne, and my girl Lauren and I run a small craft business called Craft Lab Atlanta. We make pretty things, host killer team-building events and experiences, and sell kits to help you bring crafty magic home.

Guys summer is the best. Who needs schedule and routine anyways?! let’s forget about our responsibilities and just do whatever we want whenever we want!!!

Oh wait… shoot— actually, it’s me ~ I need schedule and routine. Both due to my type A-ness (please, don’t say that out loud – just read it) and controlling tendencies. Le sigh, I guess I’ll have to wait till August for that again.

In any event, while summer may not provide “consistency” what it does give you is more daylight and no one can be mad at that because more daylight means more time to craft. And craft we are baby. Lauren and I have been whipping up all sorts of magic inside and outside of the lab. Muchly in the form of teacher gifts and end of the school year odds and ends. Some in the form of birthday presents and party favors. Will post more about these this weekend but because you are a CraftLab Insider (patent pending) you get an exclusive sneak peek at some of my nonsense here!

Now you may be thinking, “Adrienne, all of this feels very Wordpress / bloggy and akin to what I might read about if I subscribed to your Substack — which I did not.” Facts, friend. But if you make it this far, maybe I should consider it?! How else am I gonna fund all this fucking whimsy?! (i.e., the pink the Electra Townie beach cruiser I bought on Wednesday.)

Perhaps a consideration for another day.

While I have you though, an invitation: we have an event next week at a private home in the heart of Buckhead. Our new friend Cyndee is the self declared empress of mah-jongg, and we do not disagree. Together, we are hosting an event we’re calling spring bling to bedazzle mah-jongg cards together with our state of the art, ground-breaking kits. I hesitate to share this because there are only a couple of spots left.
