Event Terms and Conditions
Event Terms & Conditions
The fine print, baby.
We like to keep things creative, current and curated. We also like everyone to know exactly what to expect. These terms apply to Craft Lab ATL private events, corporate events and on-site activations unless otherwise noted in your individual proposal or agreement.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimated event total is required to secure your date. Your deposit will be applied toward your final balance. Payment of your deposit confirms your booking and acceptance of these Event Terms & Conditions.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 14 days of an event are responsible for the full contracted event total. Because we source materials and reserve staff specifically for each event, we’re unable to make exceptions to this policy.
Plans change, and we get it. We’re always happy to work with you on rescheduling when possible. Any rescheduled date is subject to Craft Lab availability and may require adjustments based on materials, staffing or venue requirements.
Final Guest Count
Your final participant count is due no later than 7 days before your event unless otherwise noted in your proposal. This confirmed number will be used for materials and billing and cannot be reduced after the deadline.
Need to add a few people? We’ll do our best! Additional guests may be accommodated when materials and staffing allow.
Payment
Unless otherwise specified in your proposal, the remaining balance is due upon completion of the event. Your final invoice will reflect your confirmed guest count, staffing and any additional services or adjustments agreed upon in advance.
Event Staffing
Recommended staffing is based on guest count, project complexity, venue and event format. Staffing recommendations are designed to keep the experience running smoothly and make sure guests get the attention they need. Final staffing will be confirmed prior to your event.
Setup, Space & Power
Craft Lab handles the setup and breakdown of our project materials and displays. Setup time and space requirements vary by experience and will be confirmed in advance.
Clients are responsible for providing adequate tables and workspace unless other arrangements have been made. Some activations may also require access to standard electrical power. For outdoor or off-grid events, Craft Lab may provide a portable power source when appropriate.
Please let us know ahead of time about stairs, elevators, restricted parking, long load-in distances or anything else that could make getting our mountain of crafty goodness from the car to your event more complicated.
Outdoor Events & Weather
Outdoor events require a covered or weather-protected workspace suitable for guests, craft materials and, when applicable, electronic equipment.
We ask that clients have a suitable alternate covered location available in the event of rain, high winds, extreme temperatures or other conditions that could affect the safety or quality of the experience. If appropriate accommodations aren’t available, Craft Lab may modify, pause, relocate or reschedule the activation as necessary.
Materials & Substitutions
We source a lot of fun stuff, including seasonal, specialty and limited-availability materials. Because of that, exact colors, styles, brands and individual components may occasionally vary from samples, photos or inspiration images.
If a substitution is necessary, we’ll choose something that maintains the quality, aesthetic and overall vibe of the experience you booked.
Customization & Personalization
Some Craft Lab experiences include custom names, monograms, artwork or other personalization. What can be created on-site depends on the experience, available equipment and event flow.
Simple personalization can often be completed during an event, while logos, detailed artwork or more complex custom designs may require advance preparation and/or an additional fee. Any limits specific to your activation will be outlined in your proposal.
Photography
Craft Lab may photograph event setups and completed projects for our portfolio, website and social media. We will not intentionally feature identifiable guests, particularly minors, without appropriate permission. If your event has specific photography, confidentiality or brand requirements, just let us know in advance.
Venue & Property
We take care when setting up and working in private homes and event spaces, but crafting is, well, crafting. Clients are responsible for ensuring the designated workspace is appropriate for the selected activity. Craft Lab will provide reasonable table protection for projects involving adhesives, paint, ink or other potentially messy materials.
If your venue has specific rules for vendors, loading, insurance, cleanup or materials, please share them with us before the event.
Questions?
Every Craft Lab event is a little different. If something in your proposal conflicts with these general terms, the terms outlined in your individual proposal take precedence.
Boop! That’s it.
